Lazeez Shawarma opened a new location at 136 Guelph St. in Georgetown, marking the franchise’s first restaurant in Halton Hills. The location is positioned across from Christ the King Catholic Secondary School and adds another Middle Eastern food option to the local dining scene.

The article highlights Lazeez’s wide menu, including shawarma wraps and plates, falafel, baklava, Greek souvlaki, Turkish donair, Philly cheesesteak-inspired options, and customer favourites like meals served “on the rocks” with rice or “on the sticks” with fries. Owner Rana Rauf said the classic chicken shawarma wrap is likely the most popular item because it is easy to take on the go.

The story also introduces Rauf as an experienced entrepreneur with business interests in advertising, clothing, and restaurants. He shared that he sees business ownership as a way to keep growing, while also noting that the Georgetown Lazeez location plans to offer catering in the future.
