Lazeez Launches Pay It Forward Campaign to Spread Holiday Kindness
Lazeez Shawarma launched its Pay It Forward campaign on December 21, 2023, across 60+ locations as a way to support people in need during the holiday season. The campaign was created to help spread kindness, encourage community involvement, and give customers a simple way to provide meals to those who may need them most.
To begin the initiative, Lazeez Shawarma’s head office donated 600 Kindness tickets, each valued at $11.25 + HST. These tickets were placed on the front windows of participating restaurants as part of the “Kindness Window.” Anyone in need could take a ticket from the window and redeem it for a complimentary meal, choosing between a Regular Chicken-on-the-Rocks or Regular Falafel-on-the-Rocks.
The campaign also encouraged customers to keep the generosity going by purchasing their own Kindness tickets in-store or donating online. Customers could personalize the tickets with their first name before placing them on the restaurant window for someone in need to redeem. Through this approach, Lazeez created a community-driven chain of giving that allowed both the brand and its customers to make a positive impact during the holidays.
The campaign ran until December 31, 2023, with the goal of “spreading kindness,” inspiring “acts of goodwill,” and helping the community “embrace the true spirit of the holidays.”
